FIRST X FIRE ROOKIE TOURNEY DATE OF 2008 SET FOR MAY 10TH

X Fire Paintball Announced Dates for its 2008 Rookie Tournament Series and the first date is set for Saturday, May 10, 2008

X Fire Paintball has announced the return of its popular Rookie tournament series.  This tournament series is for rookie players. In fact, players can be any age but players are not allowed who have any tournament experience above the rookie level. This is a change from prior years in that it does allow players with tournament experience to play but it still limits the players to those with only rookie experience.  This change was in response to a request by those players who had only limited tournament experience and wanted to continue to develop tournament skills but were not ready to advance to more serious levels of professional play. 

Teams are made up of 3 players (you can have more on the team (up to five) but just three play at a time).  If you don’t have enough players don’t worry, sign up and we will try to match you with others to form a team for the tournament.

You must pre-register for the tournament. You can register at either X Fire Paintball store. To register you must pay the team entry fee, submit a team roster with each player’s name and address and submit a waiver for each player. Waivers must be signed by a parent or legal guardian if the player is under 18.

The costs of each tournament are low, just $75 per team (that’s just $25 per player).  This is a Field Paint Tournament (you must buy paint at the tournament) and it costs $60/ case. 

NEW THIS YEAR!  SIGNUP AND PREPAY FOR ALL FIVE TOURNAMENTS BEFORE THE FIRST ONE AND ONLY PAY FOR FOUR.  That is right, if your team pays $300, the cost of 4 entry fees before the first tournament, you will get entry to all five of the X Fire Rookie tournaments this year, a savings of $75.00.

We will announce winners at the event and expect to post pictures on our web site after each tournament.  We count on volunteer photographers to submit pictures so the pictures are dependent on them.

Individual Trophies for three players on First, Second and Third Place teams. Other Prizes to be announced.

Dates:  Tournaments are held Saturdays, with gates opening at 8:00 am at West End Paintball, Leicester, MA (on Route 9, near the Spencer town line). The Captains’ meeting is at 8:30 am and games begin at 9:00 am.
