X FIRE TEAMS PERFORM WELL AT NEPL TOURNAMENT 4-2-06

73 teams competed at the New England Paintball Tournament this past Sunday, April 2, 2006 at Cape Cod Paintball at Borne, Mass. and in the top division, the 7-Man Open, X Fire Paintball took Third Place in the preliminaries and, after the finals against Team 187, Friendly Fire and Boston Armanda, X Fire came in at third place after losing to Friendly Fire, tying Team 187 and beating Boston Armada.

X Fire Paintball was playing with the new Evil Minion guns which they had just received the day before and were trying them for the first time. With virtually no time to practice or work with the guns they did a great job for X Fire. It was clear that the guns performed beautifully for X Fire and the team is proud to use them as their weapon of choice for the coming season.

In the Novice Division, X Fire Red, X Fire Paintball’s Novice entry in the tournament made it through the preliminaries into the semifinals in ninth place but in the semi’s they lost to team Caution and did not advance to the final round of play.

In total it was a terrific day of paintball with good weather, experienced refs and good competition.
